INTRODUCTION
The Women Development Cell is formed to create awareness among the girls and the women staff, apart from maintaining congenial working environment for all the women employees and students.The committee is responsible for prevent sexual harassment at college and to promote general well-being of female students teaching and non-teaching women staff on the campus. The cell is also responsible to undertake the awareness programmes on gender sensitization, women rights and women empowerment in campus.
OBJECTIVES
- To foster and support the professional and personal development of women (student as well as faculty)
- To create an atmosphere whereby the female students and staff can study / work freely.
- To create awareness among female students and employees on myriad issues concerning women like health issues, legal rights, etc.To create awareness regarding institutional code of conduct.
- Living in a patriarchal society with deep rooted and socio-cultural value of male superiority, the objective of the Cell is to help build an egalitarian society.
- Helping female students live a balanced life where they neither lurk into depression nor take the abode of aggression.
- To stress upon the development of women in every sphere.
- To organize events and activities for women empowerment.
- To create an environment that will help women realize their full potential and give their best.
