INTRODUCTION
Library is said to be the heart and soul of an institute. It is the treasure house of the Information and knowledge. The library is the storehouse of knowledge that helps achieve the objectives of education, conservation of knowledge and ideas as well as teaching and research programmes. Library committee plays vital role for the development of the library. Our College Library performs a variety of functions by the way of collecting information, processing, retrieving the relevant information and providing it to the users. The library also helps the students and faculty with text books, reference books, magazines and journals and also e-resources with respect to all subject areas.
OBJECTIVES
- To guide the Librarian in formulating general library policies and regulations which govern the functions of the library.
- To provide for proper documentation services and updating the library collection.
- To work towards modernization and improvement of Library and documentation Services.
- To formulate policies and procedures for efficient use of Library resources.
- To review Library readership.
- To write off/loss of books any kind on reasonable ground may be implemented.
- To adopt measures to enhance readership
- To prepare budget and proposals for the development of the library.
- To recommend to the authorities the fees and other charges for the use of the library.
- To seek feedback on Library functions from readers.
- To take measures to increase the membership of the library beyond the boundaries of the College.
